Book Club Outline: Chapter 1 Exploration

Introduction:

Greetings fellow readers! It's time to jump into the riveting first chapter of our current read. Remember, Solomon urges us not to rush into God's presence like fools do - a point definitely worth pondering. Now, let's get cracking!

Highlighted Scriptures in Chapter 1:

  • Romans 1:20

  • Psalms 92 verses 1 through 4

Welcome to the Life & Lumi Book Club Group! 📚

In this group, we gather to explore and discuss inspirational books that align with our mission of illuminating life through Christ. Our goal is to grow in our faith, gain new insights, and support one another in our spiritual journeys.

Whether you're an avid reader or just starting to discover the power of books, this group is a place where we can come together to learn, reflect, and connect. We believe that books can ignite our minds, touch our hearts, and transform our lives.

Here's what you can expect from the Life & Lumi Book Club Group:

🌟 Book Discussions: We'll choose a book each month that delves into topics related to Christian living, inspiration, and faith. Through our discussions, we'll explore the key themes, share our perspectives, and learn from one another's insights.

📖 Reading Recommendations: Members are encouraged to share their favorite Christian books and recommend titles that have had a significant impact on their spiritual growth. This way, we can expand our reading list and explore a wide range of inspiring literature together.

🤝 Community Support: We're here to support and uplift one another on our spiritual journeys. As we read and discuss books, we'll build connections, share our experiences, and offer encouragement along the way. This group is a safe space where we can learn from each other and grow together.

📚 Book Club Meetings: We'll schedule monthly virtual meetings at the end of each month and weekly discussions on Thursdays 7 PM EST, where we can come together to discuss the book of the month in more depth. These meetings provide a space for interactive conversations, Q&A sessions, and the chance to connect face-to-face.

We're excited to embark on this reading journey with you and explore the transformative power of literature through the lens of our faith. Get ready to dive into thought-provoking books, engage in meaningful discussions, and be inspired by the wisdom and insights they offer.

Stay tuned for updates on our book selections, meeting schedules, and discussion prompts. Let's grow together, learn together, and illuminate our lives through the pages of inspiring books!

If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out. We're here to make this book club group an enriching and fulfilling experience for everyone.

Keep shining your light, and let's embark on this reading adventure together! ✨📚

Crazy Love by Francis Chan, will be divided into five weeks. We will meet here Thursdays at 7 PM - 8 PM EST to share what inspired us, answers to the discussion questions, or even ask our own questions about what we have read. Beginning in March I'll begin a virtual meet up here at Life & Lumi every week as well, same time, so if you want to chat with your fellow club members virtually, we can do that.

This is the outline for February:

Week 1: Introduction and Chapter 1

* Discussion questions: What is your initial reaction to the book? What struck you most about Chan's perspective on love and relationships?

Week 2: Chapters 2-3

Well, folks, let's address the elephant in the room - perfect, I am not. In fact, I've been a bit of a slacker in my role as the commander-in-chief of our beloved book club. My consistency in reading and updating about our current book has been, shall we say, a tad off the mark. But in the spirit of honesty, I believe everything happens for a reason and that even my slack-off moments are part of God's grand plan.

Now, as we all know, February is the month of love (cue the heart-shaped balloons and chocolates). It's almost poetic how our Bible study theme for this month is 'what is love'. Considering my less-than-stellar performance in January, I’m beginning to think that it was all a divine set-up for what comes next. Our February book is none other than 'Crazy Love' by Francis Chan.

I mean, what better time to…
