I grew up as a Baptist Christian under the guidance of my grandfather, who served as a pastor. However, as I observed the Christians around me, I began to question the authenticity of their faith and whether they were truly living out the teachings of the Scriptures. This led me to question my own faith and wrestle with doubts about the Bible and Jesus.
Writing about my experiences and reflections helped me unpack the motivations behind creating Life & Lumi. I realized the importance of not just believing in the Scriptures but also living them out in our daily lives. We must discipline ourselves, "die to self," and submit our lives to Christ and His teachings.
The lack of consistent examples of genuine Christian living around me drove me to explore other religions and seek answers elsewhere. However, through my journey, I eventually found my way back to the Word of God. The truth always stands and reveals itself, and I had to search for it with an open heart and mind.
I am still on a journey of studying the Scriptures and learning how to apply them in all aspects of life. I strive to seek God in everything and encourage others to do the same. My prayer is to cultivate a community of believers who delve deep into the Scriptures, support one another, and grow together on our spiritual journeys.

Lumi is derived from the Latin word lūmen and figuratively means "light of life". Interestingly, in many other languages, it translates to "snow". The book of John emphasizes the importance of knowing Christ, who is referred to as "the way, the truth, and the life" and "the light of the world". By following Him, we can escape from darkness and have the light of life. Isaiah 1:18 further explains that despite our sins being as scarlet or crimson, Christ can make us white as snow. Therefore, we cannot have a fulfilling life without Christ, the Life, the Light, and the only one who can make us pure. The Bible serves as our guidebook, and through Life & Lumi, we can explore how to apply its teachings to various aspects of our lives, such as family, careers, relationships, fashion, and more. May this platform inspire and empower us to become a light in this world while serving as vessels for God's good and perfect will.
